(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open:
(a)
P6-1 Panel
1) MACH WARN SYS-2
(b)
P18-2 Panel
1) MACH WARN SYS-1
2) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
3) FLIGHT RECORDER DC

(2)
Connect the electrical connectors to the rear of the test module.

(3)
Put the test module into the aft overhead panel, P5.

(4)
Tighten the four quick-release fasteners on the test module.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Close these circuit breakers:

P6-1 Panel
1) MACH WARN SYS-2

1) MACH WARN SYS-1

(7) Do this test of the test module:
(a)
Make sure the flight data recorder OFF light (OFF light) is on.
(b)
Put the flight data recorder TEST--NORMAL switch in the TEST position.
(c)
Make sure the OFF light is off.
(d)
Put the TEST--NORMAL switch in the NORMAL position.
(e)
Make sure the OFF light is on.

(8) Do this operational test of the mach airspeed warning test module:
(a)
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
1) P18 and P6 Panels
a) MACH WARN SYS 1
b) MACH WARN SYS 2
(b)
Push the MACH AIRSPEED WARNING TEST NO 1 switch on the P5 panel. 1) Make sure you hear the warning clacker.
(c)
Release the MACH AIRSPEED WARNING TEST NO 1 switch on the P5 panel. 1) Make sure the warning clacker is off.
(d)
Push the MACH AIRSPEED WARNING TEST NO 2 switch on the P5 panel. 1) Make sure you hear the warning clacker.
(e)
Release the MACH AIRSPEED WARNING TEST NO 2 switch on the P5 panel. 1) Make sure the warning clacker is off.

(9) Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

FLIGHT DATA ACQUISITION UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the flight data acquisition unit. The FDAU is also refered to as the flight data management unit (FDMU) or the flight data acquisition and management unit (DFDAMU).
B. The FDAU is in the main equipment center on shelf E2.
