 4. Erase Engine Exceedance Data without the Data Bus Analyzer
__________________________________________________________
 A. Procedure
 S 712-026
 (1)  
Make sure that the N1, EGT, and N2 indicators on both sides of the panel are not displaying exceedance values.

 S 712-027

 (2)  
Make sure that both N1 values are below 10%.

 S 422-028

 (3)  
On connector D10146 apply a ground to pin 3 for five to ten seconds.

 S 022-029

 (4)  
Remove the Ground from pin 3.

 S 862-030

 (5)  
Wait 3.5 to 4 minutes.

 S 422-031

 (6)  
Apply a ground to pin 4 for five to ten seconds.


 NOTE: This will reset the exceedance memory in the EIS Primary

 Display to zero.

 ENGINE INSTRUMENT SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has these tasks:
 (1)  
A BITE test for the engine instrument system (EIS).

 (2)  
A functional test for the EIS.


 B.  The EIS BITE test monitors the internal health of the EIS Primary Display and EIS Secondary Display.
 C.  Functional tests of each display groups are not included in this section of the maintenance manual. The functional test task is a cross reference list that identifies the locations of all such tests.

EIS PRIMARY 4

 (2)  Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 C.  BITE test of EIS Primary Display
 S 715-006
 (1)  Set the DIM/BRT/TEST switch on the P1-3 or P2-1 panel to the TEST position.
 (a)  Make sure the N1, N2, and EGT red (over-limit) warning lights come on.
 S 715-009
 (2)  Release the DIM/BRT/TEST switch.
 (a)  Make sure the warning lights go off.
