20. DADC Bus Signals Test

NOTE: Keep the air data system on for more than 30 minutes before you do

this test.
A. General
(1) In this test it is necessary to put the DADC into the TEST mode. You can use one of three methods to put the DADC into the TEST mode. The method you use depends on the type of DADC that is on the airplane.
(a)
AIRPLANES WITH A TEST SELECT SWITCH ON THE DADC; Put the TEST SELECT switch to the FUNCTION position. 1) Push and hold the TEST button.
(b)
AIRPLANES WITH A TEST--HISTORY SWITCH ON THE DADC; Put the TEST--HISTORY switch in the TEST position.
(c)
AIRPLANES WITH A SELF-TEST SWITCH ON THE DADC; Put the SELF-TEST switch in the TEST position.

102 Control Cabin - Right
C. Procedure

Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

Do this test of the DADC signals:
(a) Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 0, WORD 33.

Put the DADC NO.1 into the test mode.
(c)
Make sure the portable tester display is 6560 to 7020.

"Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition."

101 Control Cabin - Left
102 Control Cabin - Right
D. Procedure

Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

(2)
Do this test of the digital signals from the EFIS Control Panel:
(a)
Open these circuit breakers:
1) P6-1 Panel
a) EFIS CONT PANEL-R
2) P18-2 panel:
a) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
b) FLIGHT RECORDER DC
c) POS SENSORS
(b)
Remove the FDAU (AMM 31-24-22/401).
(c)
Connect an ARINC 429 test set to electrical connector D2295A pins J14 and K14 (bus 19).
(d)
Make sure at least one of these labels is on bus 19: 170, 271, 272, 273, 370
(e)
Remove the ARINC 429 test set from electrical connector D2295A.
(f)
Close this circuit breaker:
1) P6-1 Panel
a) EFIS CONT PANEL-R
(g)
Open these circuit breakers:
1) P18-2 Panel
a) EFIS CONT PANEL-L
(h)
Connect the ARINC 429 test set to electrical connect D2295D pins J14 and K14 (bus 20).
(i)
Make sure at least one of these labels is on bus 20: 170, 271, 272, 273, 370
(j)
Remove the ARINC 429 test set from electrical connector D2295D.
(k)
Install the FDAU (Ref 31-24-22/401).
