Make sure BIT 1 light of the portable tester is off.

(1) Make sure you did the Prepare For Input Parameter Test task.

WARNING: PUT A SAFETY OBSERVER NEAR THE THRUST REVERSER WHEN YOU DO THIS
_______ TEST. THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN IT MOVES.
(2) Do this test of the thrust reverser signals:
(a)
Remove the safety pins from each Thrust Reverser isolation valve at forward end of each Air Conditioning Bay.
(b)
Make sure both Thrust reverser handles are in full down position.
(c)
Make sure both hydraulic pumps A & B are on.
(d)
Set the portable tester to the SUBFRAMEs and WORDs shown in the table.

Operate the thrust reversers to get the conditions in the table (AMM 78-31-00/501).
NOTE: Use the Operational Test - Thrust Reverser System procedure with the engines off.

Make sure the portable tester displays agree with the values in the table.
