5. Speed Brake Control System RTO Test___________________________________
A. General
(1)
Before you do the adjustment or the test of the speed brake control system, you must make sure these systems are serviceable:
(a)
The aileron control system (AMM 27-11-00/501).

The trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/501).
(2)
During the procedure, unless otherwise noted, the weight of the airplane must be on the landing gear. The ground spoiler interlock valve must be open which will permit the operation of the ground spoilers.

Make sure these systems are serviceable before you do this test:
(a)
The speed brake control system (AMM 27-62-00/501).
(b)
The spoiler control system (AMM 27-61-00/501).
(c)
The aileron control system (AMM 27-11-00/501).
(d)
The trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/501).

If the airplane is on jacks, open the ground spoiler interlock valve to simulate the weight of the airplane on the landing gear:
(a)
Disconnect the ground spoiler interlock valve cable from the torsion link on the right landing gear (AMM 27-62-51/401).
(b)
Manually move the valve lever to the dimension B shown in Fig. 505.

(3) Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (AMM 27-62-00/201).

Do a test of the operation of the speed brakes:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever from the DOWN position to the UP position. 1) Make sure the speed brakes move to the up position.

(b) Move the speed brake lever from the UP position to the DOWN position. 1) Make sure the speed brakes move to the retracted position.
