Tighten the checknut to 350-400 pound-inches.

Install the lockwire on the checknut and the locking key.
(j)
Apply a bead of sealant to the rod end checknut.
(k)
Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).
(l)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the spoilers if it is necessary.
(m)
Install the trailing edge access panel if you lowered the flaps.
(n)
Move the flap control lever to the UP detent to lift the flaps if it is necessary.
(o)
Measure the clearance between the spoiler and the flap again.

NOTE: This procedure makes sure all all of the flight spoilers move to
____ the limit of their travel. If you replaced a spoiler panel, it is only necessary to do the test for that spoiler.

(2) S 865-014Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).
(3) S 485-015Install the protractor stand and the control surface protractor on the spoilers.
NOTE:____ You can use a hand held protractor on the spoiler.
(4) S 485-016Install the protractor mount and the protractor on the captain's aileron control wheel.
(5) S 825-017Set the protractor to zero.
(6) S 725-018Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
(7) S 725-019Move the captain's aileron control wheel in the neutral position. (a) Make sure the spoiler No. 2 is up 39 |3 degrees. (b) Make sure the spoiler No. 3 aligns with the spoiler No. 2 in the limit of |0.25 inch. (c) Make sure the spoiler No. 6 is up the same as the spoiler No. 2 in the limit of |2 degrees (d) Make sure the spoiler No. 6 is up a minimum of 36 degrees. (e) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 aligns with the spoiler No. 6 in the limit of |0.25 inch.
(8) S 865-020Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the spoilers.
