Disconnect the electrical connectors from the spoiler position sensors below the spoiler panels.
(f)
Connect the J-4 (B sensor) from the test set to the spoiler position sensor.
(g)
Connect a VTVM to the connectors J7B and J8B on the test set.
(h)
Set the switches on the test set as follows: 1) LVDT FEEDBACK switches A and B to the OFF position. 2) LVDT EXCITATION switches A and B to the OFF position. 3) NSS EXCITATION switch A to the OFF position. 4) NSS EXCITATION switch B to the ON position. 5) NSS FEEDBACK switches A and B to the OFF position. 6) SOLENOID EXCITATION switches A and B to the OFF position.

7) CURRENT SELECT switch to the BT-VALVE position. 8) SOLENOID switches to the A NORM, B NORM and ON positions. 9) ACTUATOR SELECT switch to the B ONLY position. 10) POWER switch to the ON position.
NOTE:____The lights L-1 and L-5B must be on. Lights L-2A, L-3A, L-2B, L-3B, L-4A, L-4B and L-5A must be off.
(i) Install the protractor stand and the control surface protractor on the spoiler panel.
NOTE: You can use a hand held protractor on the spoiler.

Adjust the control surface protractor to zero.
(k)
Slowly move the speed brake lever until the spoiler panel is up 10 |1 degrees.
(l)
The voltmeter must read 2.35 |0.35 volts.
(m)
Make a record of the actual voltage for spoilers No. 2 and 7.
(n)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN detent.
(o)
Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).
(p)
Remove the protractor and the protractor stand from the spoiler panel.
(q)
Disconnect and remove the test equipment.
(r)
Connect the electrical connectors to the spoiler position sensors.

(7) Do the test of the spoiler position sensors with the BITE on the DFCS computer:
NOTE: The DFCS computers must be installed to use this procedure.

(a)
Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power for the ailerons and the spoilers (Ref 27-61-00/201).
(b)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN detent.
(c)
Make sure the captain's aileron control wheel is in the neutral position.
(d)
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
1) 28V DC Battery Bus
2) 28V DC FCCA
3) 28V DC FCCB
4) 115V AC FMC
5) 115V AC FMC (CDU RIGHT)
6) 115V AC FMC (CDU LEFT)
7) 28V AC MCP
(e)
Enter the DFCS BITE as follows:
1) Push INIT/REF (CDU key)
2) Set INDEX (LSK 6L)
3) Set MAINT (LSK 6R)
4) Set DFCS (LSK 2L)
5) Set Page 2 (CDU NEXT PAGE key)

6) Set SENSOR VALUES (LSK 3L)
7) Set ANALOG SENSORS (LSK 1L)
8) Push the LSK for CONTINUE (LSK 6L) until FMC-CDV shows:
a) Make sure the CDU shows SENSOR VAL -A/-B (56.11), SPOILER 2 POS VAC. 9) Do the test for the spoiler No. 2: a) Make sure the captain's aileron control wheel is in the neutral position. b) Make sure the protractor is installed on the No. 2 spoiler panel. c) Move the speed brake lever until the spoiler is up 10 |1 degrees. d) Make sure the voltage that shows on the FMC-CDU is
2.35 |0.35 VAC. e) Make a record of the actual voltage on the FMC-CDU. f) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN detent. g) Remove the protractor from the spoiler.
10) Do the test for the spoiler No. 7: a) Push the LSK for CONTINUE. b) Make sure that the CDU shows (56.12) SENSOR VAL -A/-B,
SPOILER 7 POS. c) Do the test again for the spoiler No. 7. 11) Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201). 12) Push the INIT/REF key to go out of the CDU BITE.
