NOTE: You must keep the one-bolt coupling with the spoiler mixer.

Remove the pushrod from the spoiler mixer:
(a)
Remove the output lever for the pushrod from the spoiler mixer.
(b)
Remove the bolt that attaches the pushrod to the output lever.
(c)
Connect the output lever to the spoiler mixer.
(d)
Temporarily connect the pushrod to the ground spoiler control valve.

A. General

Make sure you have the correct part number of the spoiler mixer. Other spoiler mixers will install but they will not operate correctly.

Connect the pushrod to the spoiler mixer (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the output lever for the pushrod from the spoiler mixer.
(b)
Put the pushrod in the position where you can connect the fixed rod end to the spoiler mixer.
(c)
Install the rod end bolt with the head to the side of the mixer.
(d)
Install the washer and nut on the bolt.
(e)
Tighten the nut to 50-70 pound-inches.
(f)
Connect the output lever and the pushrod assembly to the spoiler mixer.

Make sure the speed brake lever is in the DOWN position.

Make sure you can easily install the rig pin S/B-2 in the speed brake input quadrant.

Remove the rig pin S/B-2.

Install the spoiler mixer:
(a)
Connect the two-bolt couplings to the ratio changer: 1) Put the couplings in the position shown in Fig. 401. 2) Install the washers and nuts on the bolts. Do not tighten
the nuts.
(b)
Remove the rig pin A/S-14 from the spoiler mixer.

Install the one-bolt coupling on the mixer: 1) Make sure the end of the coupling with the bolt is on the aileron input shaft on the spoiler mixer. 2) Install the bolt on the outboard side of the input shaft with the head up.
