 c) Remove the trailing edge access panel to get access to the spoiler actuator if you extended the flaps. d) Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power
 (Ref 27-61-00/201). 3) Loosen the checknut on the actuator rod end. 4) Disengage the locking key from the piston rod.
 CAUTION: DO NOT TURN THE PISTON ROD IF THE ACTUATOR IS
_______ PRESSURIZED. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
 5)  Turn the piston rod end to adjust the clearance between the spoiler and the flap.
 NOTE: Each 1/4 turn of the piston rod end will change the
____ clearance between the spoiler and the flaps by approximately 0.10 inch.
 WARNING: DO NOT GET SOLVENTS IN YOUR MOUTH, OR YOUR EYES, OR
_______ ON YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. SOLVENTS MAY BE FLAMMABLE OR HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. REFER TO PRODUCT MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS) AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPER HANDLING PROCEDURES.
 6)  Clean all grease from the piston rod and the rod end
 threads with the solvent, Series 88 (AMM 20-30-88/201). 7) Engage the locking key with the piston rod. 8) Apply a layer of the corrosion preventive compound to the
 rod end threads. 9) Tighten the checknut to 350-400 pound-inches. 10) Install the lockwire on the checknut and the locking key. 11) Apply a bead of sealant to the rod end checknut. 12) Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power
 (Ref 27-61-00/201). 13) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the spoilers if it is necessary. 14) Install the trailing edge access panel if you lowered the flaps. 15) Move the flap control lever to the UP detent to lift the
 flaps if it is necessary. 16) Measure the clearance between the spoilers and the flaps. 17) If the clearance is not in the tolerance, adjust the
 clearance again.
 (j) Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

Install the protractor mount and the protractor on the
 captain's aileron control wheel.
Install the straightedge across the two aileron control wheels.
Set the protractor on the control wheel to zero.
Remove the straightedge from the control wheels.
Examine the adjustment of the actuator input arm for spoilers
 No. 2 and 3:
 1)  Turn the captain's aileron control wheel fully clockwise to make sure the spoilers No. 2 and 3 are in the fully retracted position.
 2)  Install the protractor stand and the control surface protractor on the spoiler No. 2.
 NOTE: You can use a hand held protractor on the spoiler.

 3)  Adjust the control surface protractor to zero.
 4)  Turn the control wheel to 50 |5 degrees counterclockwise.
 5) Slowly turn the control wheel clockwise to the neutral position. a) Make sure the spoilers No. 2 and 3 are in the fully retracted position when the control wheel is 5 |3 degrees counterclockwise from the neutral position. b) Make sure the clearance between the spoiler and the flap is 0.03 to 0.13 inch (Fig. 506).
