Before you do the adjustment or the test of the speed brake control system, you must make sure these systems are serviceable:
(a)
The aileron control system (AMM 27-11-00/501).
(b)
The trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/501).
(3)
During the procedure, unless otherwise noted, the weight of the airplane must be on the landing gear. The ground spoiler interlock valve must be open which will permit the operation of the ground spoilers.

F. Prepare for the Test of the Speed Brake Control System

(1) Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(a) Make sure you energize the 28-volt dc bus No. 1, bus No. 2 and
Battery Bus.

(2) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6-2 Panel
1) AUTOSLAT NO. 1 DC
2) AUTOSLAT NO. 2 DC
3) AIRPLANES WITH THE AUTOSLAT COMPUTER;
AUTOSLAT NO. 1 AC
AUTOSLAT NO. 2 AC

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL_______
ú SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ú ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST
ú REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER.
ú THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(3) Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (AMM 27-62-00/201).

(4) Move the ANTISKID switch on the center instrument panel to the ON
position.
G. Do the Test of the Speed Brake Control System

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE SPEED BRAKE ARMED LIGHT IS ON WHEN YOU MANUALLY_______
LIFT THE SPEED BRAKES. THE SPEED BRAKE LEVER ACTUATOR CAN
AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT THE SPEED BRAKES. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY
TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do a test of the operation of the ground spoilers:
