Quickly move the speed brake lever from the DOWN position to the UP position. 1) Make sure all flight spoilers move to the extended position
in less than 1 second.

Quickly move the speed brake lever from the UP position to the DOWN position: 1) Make sure all flight spoilers move to the retracted
position in less than 1 second.

(9) Do a test of the autopilot aileron actuator (Ref 22-11-25/501).
NOTE: The autopilot actuator test for the ailerons also does the
____ test of the autopilot authority for the spoilers.

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the flight spoilers.
B. The graphite/composite flight spoilers and the aluminum/fiberglass flight spoilers are interchangeable.

Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit position to extend the trailing edge flaps.

Move the speed brake lever to the UP position to lift the spoilers.

Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

Install the spoiler ground locks on the actuator for the applicable spoiler.

Remove the flight spoiler:
(a)
Remove the bolt that attaches the rod end of the spoiler actuator to the spoiler.
