On the antiskid control unit, turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the LO position and push the VALVE and SKID buttons (Fig. 507). 1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM light comes on.

Release the VALVE and SKID buttons. 1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light comes on. 2) Make sure the spoilers do not move to the extended
position.
(p)
Do the test again with the WHEEL SELECT knob in the LI, RI, and RO positions.
(q)
With the speed brake lever in the ARMED position and the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light on, turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the LO position.
(r)
Push and hold the LW (lock wheel) and SKID buttons.
NOTE: The SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM light will come on
____ momentarily if you do not push the buttons at the same time.
1) Make sure the speed brake lever moves to the UP position. 2) Make sure the flight spoilers No. 2, 3, 6, and 7 move to the full up position. 3) Make sure the ground spoilers No. 4 and 5 move to the full up position. 4) Make sure the ground spoilers No. 0, 1, 8 and 9 move to the full up position. 5) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED Light is on.
(s)
Release the LW and SKID buttons.
1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM light is on.
(t)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position. 1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM light is off.
(u)
AIRPLANES WITH SPEED BRAKE TEST SWITCHES; Push the SPEED BRAKE TEST switch 3 to retract the speed brake lever actuator.
(v)
AIRPLANES WITHOUT SPEED BRAKE TEST SWITCHES; Move one of the thrust levers forward to retract the speed brake lever actuator. Move the thrust lever back to the idle position.

Do a test of the operation of the throttle switch:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever to the ARMED position.
1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light comes on.
(b)
Turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the LI position.
(c)
Push and hold the LW and SKID buttons.
(d)
Move the No. 1 thrust lever to the full forward position. 1) Make sure all spoilers move to the down position. 2) Make sure the speed brake lever moves to the DOWN position. 3) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED and SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM
lights are off.

Move the No. 1 thrust lever back to the idle position.
(f)
Release the LW and SKID buttons.
(g)
Do the test of the throttle switches again except turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the RI position and use the No. 2 thrust lever.

Do a test of the antiskid inoperative function:
(a)
Open this circuit breaker to turn off the inboard anti-skid system: 1) P6-3 Panel
a) ANTI-SKID INBD
(b)
Move the speed brake lever to the ARMED position.
(c)
Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light comes on.
(d)
Turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the LI position.
(e)
Push the LW and SKID buttons.
1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light stays on.
(f)
Release the LW and SKID buttons.
1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light stays on.
2) Make sure the spoilers do not move.
(g)
Close this circuit breaker:
1) P6-2 Panel
a) ANTI-SKID INBD
(h)
Open this circuit breaker to turn off the outboard anti-skid system: 1) P6-3 Panel
a) ANTI-SKID OUTBD
(i)
Make sure the speed brake lever is in the ARMED position. 1) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light comes on.
(j)
Turn the WHEEL SELECT knob to the LO position.
