FLIGHT SPOILER ACTUATOR QUADRANT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the quadrant for the flight spoiler actuator. You can use this procedure on the No. 2, 3, 6 and 7 flight spoiler.

Location Zone 101, 102 Control Cabin 216, 217 Main Wheel Well 307, 407 Wing Trailing Edge Outboard Flap and Spoilers

Prepare for the Removal
S 864-002
(1)
Supply the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
S 864-003
(2)
Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).
S 864-004
(3)
Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent to extend the trailing edge flaps.
S 864-005
(4)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
S 864-006
(5)
Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

(6)
Make sure the ailerons are in the neutral position.

Remove the Flight Spoiler Actuator Quadrant
S 034-008
(1)
Remove the wing spoiler cables WSA and WSB from the applicable quadrant (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the cable clamps to keep the tension on the cables.
(b)
Disconnect the turnbuckles for the cables.
(c)
Attach a tag to the cables for identification during the installation.
(d)
Remove the cables from the quadrant.
