 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE STATIC PRESSURE IS NOT MORE THAN THE PITOT
_______ PRESSURE. MAKE SURE THE STATIC PRESSURE IS NOT MORE THAN 8000 FEET ABOVE THE ACTUAL ALTITUDE OF THE AIRPORT. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE PRESSURE AT A RATE OF MORE THAN 3000 FEET FOR EACH MINUTE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM.
 (4)  Connect a vacuum source to the auxiliary static system
 (Ref 34-11-00/501).

 NOTE: You can apply the vacuum source to the drain fittings or the
____
 pitot-static probe ports.

 (5)  
Seal all of the static ports for the auxiliary system that are not used:

 (a)  
Make sure that you can fully remove the seal.

Make sure the flap control lever is in a position of less than 30-units.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

P6 Panel
 1) FLAP LOAD RELIEF

 (8)  
Make sure the LOAD LIMITER TEST LIGHT on the equipment bay light panel in the electronics compartment is off.

Do the Test of the Airspeed Switches


 S 725-009
 (1)  
Move the flap load limiter test switch on the equipment bay light panel in the electronics compartment to the SWITCH TEST position and hold it.

 (a)
Make sure the green LOAD LIMITER TEST LIGHT comes on.

 (2) Pressurize the pitot-static system until the differential pressure is 1.121 inches Hg (152 knots) to 1.274 inches Hg (162 knots).
 NOTE: Apply the pitot pressure to one system at a time.

 (a)  Make sure the LOAD LIMITER TEST LIGHT is off.

Decrease the differential pressure in the pitot-static system until the differential pressure is 1.046 inches Hg (147 knots) to 1.197 inches Hg (157 knots).

 (a)  
Make sure the LOAD LIMITER TEST LIGHT is on.

 (4)  
Release the test switch.

 (a)  
Make sure the LOAD LIMITER TEST LIGHT is off.

 (5)  
Do the test for the other airspeed switch.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Release the pressure in the pitot-static system.

Remove the pitot-static test equipment.

Remove the covers from the static ports.


 NOTE: Make sure there is no dirt around the static ports.

 FLAP 40-UNIT SWITCHES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the flap 40-unit switches.
 B.  The flap 40-unit switches are installed in the control stand. The switches operate on a cam on the drum of the flap handle assembly. It is necessary to remove the right stabilizer trim wheel and the door from the control stand to get access to the switches.
