Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (AMM 27-62-00/201).
(c)
Move the speed brake lever to the UP position to lift the spoilers.
(d)
Move the flap control lever to the UP position to fully retract the trailing edge flaps.
(e)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the ground spoilers.

(f) Measure the clearance between the trailing edge of the spoiler
panels and the flaps near the centerline of the spoiler
actuators.
(g) Make sure the clearance between the spoilers No. 4 and 5 and
the flaps is in the limits shown in Fig. 506.
(h) Make sure the clearance between the spoilers No. 0, 1, 8 and 9
and the flaps is 0.03 +0.10/-0.00 inch
(i) Make sure there is a clearance between the trailing edge of the
spoiler panels and the flaps for the full span of the spoiler.
(j) If the clearances between the spoiler panels and the flaps are
not in the limits, adjust clearance:
1) Make a record of the clearance.
WARNING: DO NOT PUT A PART OF YOUR BODY BETWEEN THE SPOILER_______
AND THE WING UNLESS YOU REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC POWER.
THE SPOILERS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
2) Lift the spoiler or extend the flaps to get access to the
spoiler actuator:
a) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position to lift
the spoilers.
b) Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent to
extend the flaps.
c) Remove the system A and B hydraulic power
(AMM 27-62-00/201).
3) Loosen the checknut on the rod end of the actuator.
4) Remove the locking key from the piston rod.
