(a)
Move the speed brake control lever to the UP position to lift the spoiler.
(b)
Remove the system A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).
(c)
With the flaps retracted, make sure the two bulb seals on the fixed upper panel are compressed 0.15 |0.05 inch by the foreflap.
(d)
Measure the position of the wing bulb seal in relation to the top surface of the wing.
(e)
Make sure the forward bulb seal aligns with the top surface of the wing bulb seal.
(f)
Adjust the forward bulb seal if it does not align:
1) Loosen the bolts that attach the seal.
2) Move the seal to the correct position.
3) Tighten the bolts that attach the seal.

Examine the position of the aft bulb seal if it is installed:
(a)
Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).
(b)
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit position to extend the flaps.
(c)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the spoilers.
(d)
Make sure a minimum of 80 percent of the length of the aft bulb seal touches the foreflap.
(e)
Make sure the maximum clearance between the aft bulb seal and the foreflap is 0.02 inch.
(f)
Install shims if it is necessary to adjust the aft bulb seal.
(5)
Do the No. 4 and 5 ground spoilers functional test.
(6)
Move the flap control lever to the UP position to retract the flaps.
