(b) Turn the input shaft on the transmitter until the applicable pointer on the indicator is in the correct location.
NOTE:____ Turn the shaft clockwise to move the pointer nearer to the UP position. If the pointer moves nearer to the 40-unit position, turn the shaft clockwise (approximately 12 turns) until the pointer moves in the UP direction to the 25-unit position.
Lightly hit the indicator with your finger to remove the friction error.
(2) S 424-013Install the position transmitter on the gearbox: (a) Apply a layer of the grease to the splines on the input shaft. (b) Put the transmitter in its position on the gearbox.
NOTE:____ Make sure the pointer stays in the middle of the white area at the 25 unit position.
(c) (d) Apply a layer of the primer on the bolts and washers.With the primer wet, install the bolts and washers to attach the position transmitter to the gearbox.
(3) S 724-014Do the test of the flap position indicating system (AMM 27-58-01/501).
(4) S 764-015Make sure the bonding resistance between the transmitter and the gearbox is not more than 0.0025 ohms (SWPM 20-20-00).
(5) S 434-032If the heads are drilled, install lockwire on the bolts that attach the position transmitter to the gearbox.

Push the INIT/REF key on the FMCS CDU.

Push the line select key (LSK) 6L (<INDEX).

Push the LSK 6R (MAINT>). 1) Make sure the CDU shows the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1.

Push the LSK 2L (<DFCS).
(e)
Push the NEXT PAGE key. 1) Make sure the CDU shows the DFCS BITE TEST 2/2.
(f)
Push the LSK 2L (<RIGGING) to select the Rigging Tests.
