Turn the control wheel counterclockwise until the spoiler No. 2 starts to move up. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move up when the control
wheel is 11 |1 degrees counterclockwise.
(h)
Continue to turn the control wheel to the 87 degrees counterclockwise position: 1) Make sure that the spoiler No. 2 is up 38 |2 degrees. 2) Make sure that the spoilers No. 6 and 7 are in the fully
down position.
(i)
Turn the control wheel clockwise until the spoiler No. 2 starts to move down. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move down when the control
wheel is a minimum of 70 degrees counterclockwise.
(j)
Continue to turn the control wheel clockwise until the spoiler No. 2 is in the fully down position. 1) Make sure the spoiler is in the fully down position when
the control wheel is 5 |3 degrees counterclockwise.

Make sure the speed brakes extend the same when you move the speed brake lever:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever until the spoiler No. 2 is up 15 |1 degrees.
(b)
Make sure the spoilers No. 3, 6 and 7 align with spoiler No. 2 in the limit of 1/2 degree.

Do a test of the spoilers with the speed brake lever in the FLIGHT DETENT position:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever to the FLIGHT DETENT position: 1) Make sure the spoiler No. 2 is up 26 |2 degrees. 2) Make a record of the position of the spoiler No. 2. 3) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 aligns with spoiler No. 2 in
the limit of |1 degree.

Do a test of the spoilers with the speed brake lever in the UP position:
(a)
Make sure the ailerons are in the neutral position.
(b)
Move the speed brake lever to the UP position. 1) Make sure the spoiler No. 2 is up 39 |3 degrees. 2) Make a record of the position of the No. 2 spoiler. 3) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 is up a minimum of 36 degrees. 4) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 aligns with the spoiler No. 2
in the limit of |2 degrees. 5) Make sure the spoiler No. 3 aligns with the spoiler No. 2 in the limit of |0.25 inch. 6) Make sure the spoiler No. 6 aligns with the spoiler No. 7 in the limit of |0.25 inch.

Turn the captain's control wheel 87 degrees counterclockwise from the neutral position: 1) Make sure the spoiler No. 2 is up 39 |3 degrees. 2) Make a record of the position of the spoiler No. 2. 3) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 is not in the fully down
position.
(d)
Turn the captain's control wheel 87 degrees clockwise from the neutral position: 1) Make sure the spoiler No. 7 is up 39 |3 degrees. 2) Make a record of the position of the spoiler No. 7. 3) Make sure the spoiler No. 2 is not in the fully down
position.
(e)
Move the captain's control wheel to the neutral position.

Make sure the spoilers move to the down position:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN detent.
(b)
Make sure the spoilers No. 2, 3, 6 and 7 are in the fully retracted position.

(6) Do the test of the spoiler position sensor:
NOTE: The spoiler position sensors are installed on the spoilers

No. 2 and 7.
It is necessary to use the SP177/SP300 Autopilot, Rudder/Elevator/Aileron Test Set to do this test. You can also do the test of the spoiler position sensors with the BITE on the DFCS computer.
(a)
Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power to the aileron and the spoilers (Ref 27-61-00/201).
(b)
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
(c)
Move the captain's aileron control wheel to the neutral position.
(d)
Connect the power cable between the test set and the power outlet on the (D152) electronic equipment rack or an equivalent power outlet.
