FLIGHT SPOILER ACTUATOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. There is one task in this procedure, an inspection of the flight spoiler actuator. To do the inspection, you measure the diameters of the bolt and bushings that attach the rod end of the actuator to the spoiler. You also measure the diameters of the parts that attach the spoiler actuator quadrant and the input lever.

Examine the bolts, bushings and bearings for worn areas (Fig. 601):
(a)
Remove the parts.
(b)
Use a micrometer to measure the parts.
(c)
Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.
(d)
Repair or replace the parts that are not in the tolerance.
(e)
Install the parts.

Install the flight spoiler actuator (Ref 27-61-51/401).
