(g) Make sure the ground spoilers align in the limit of 2 degrees.
(h) Move the control lever forward until it is 21 | 4 degrees
(2.00 |0.4 inches) aft of the DOWN position.
(i) Make sure the ground spoilers No. 0, 1, 4, 5, 8 and 9 are in
the fully down position.
(j) Lift the airplane with the jacks until the right main gear
shock strut is fully extended (AMM 07-11-11/201).
(k) Make a mark on the inner cylinder of the right main gear.
(l) Measure and record the dimension from a point on the lower edge
of the outer cylinder to the point on the inner cylinder
(Dimension A).
(m) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
(n) Make sure the ground spoilers do not operate.
(o) Compress the inner cylinder of the right main gear until the
AIR SENSING light is off (Fig. 507).
(p) Measure and record the dimension from the point on the outer
cylinder and the point on the inner cylinder (Dimension B).
(q) Continue to compress the right main gear cylinder until the
ground spoilers start to move up.
NOTE: You can easily see the No. 5 spoiler from the landing____
gear.
(r) Measure and record the dimension from the point on the outer
cylinder and the point on the inner cylinder (Dimension C).
(s) Make sure that Dimension B minus Dimension C is more than 0.25
inch.
(t) Make sure that Dimension A minus Dimension C is equal to 1.5
+1.5/-0.0 inches.
(u) Lower the cylinder 1.25 |0.25 inches from the fully extended
position.
(v) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position then to the UP
position.
(w) Make sure the ground spoilers move to the down position and
stay.
(x) Measure and record the dimension from the point on the outer
cylinder and the point on the inner cylinder (Dimension D).
(y) Continue to lower the landing gear until the two ON IN AIR
lights are on (Fig. 507).
(z) Measure and record the dimension from the point on the outer
cylinder and the point on the inner cylinder (Dimension E).
(aa) Make sure that Dimension E minus Dimension D is a minimum of
0.07 inch.
