 GROUND SPOILER INTERLOCK VALVE CABLE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the adjustment and a task for the functional test of the ground spoiler interlock valve cable.
 B.  The airplane must be on jacks during the adjustment and the functional test of the cable. The right main gear shock strut must be in the fully extended position.

 2.  Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Cable Adjustment (Fig. 501)_______________________________________________
 A.  Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  Rig Pin (S/B-3) - 0.311 +0.000/-0.002 inch diameter, 6.70 +/-0.25 inches long (MS70207-11)
 NOTE: The rig pin is a part of the kit F70207-69, -78, or -83.

Procedure


 S 585-002
 (1)  
Lift the airplane with the jacks until the right main gear shock strut is fully extended (Ref 07-11-11/201).

 S 015-003

 (2)  
Disconnect the protective boot from the spacer at the lower rod end:

 (a)  
Remove the clamp from the protective boot.

 (b)  
Move the protective boot away from the lower rod end.


 S 485-004
 (3)  
Make sure you can easily install the rig pin S/B-3 through the valve lever.

 (a)  
If you cannot easily install the rig pin, adjust the valve cable: 1) Remove the bolt that attaches the lower rod end to the


 landing gear torsion link.
