If the light is on, do the autoslat failure troubleshooting (Ref 27-83-00/101).

Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).

Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the actuator for the speed brake lever.

Procedure


 S 864-002
 (1)  
Make sure the systems A and B hydraulic power is not on (Ref 27-62-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Panel
 1) AUTO SPEED BRAKE

 

 S 864-004
 (3)  
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.

 S 014-005

 (4)  
Open the forward access door.

 S 024-006

 (5)  
Remove the speed brake lever actuator (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.

 (b)  
Remove the bonding jumper.

 (c)  
Remove the bolt that connects the actuator to the lever brake.

 (d)  
Remove the bolt that connects the actuator to the structure.

 (e)  
Remove the actuator from the airplane.

 A.  Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  Rig Pin (S/B-1) - 0.311 +0.000/-0.002 inch diamter, 6.70 +/-0.25 inches long
 NOTE: The rig pin is a part of the kit F70207-69, -78, or -83.
