Supply the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

Move the flap control lever to the DOWN position to extend the trailing edge flaps.

Remove the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-61-00/201).

Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Remove the actuator for the flight spoilers:
(a)
Remove the bolt, washers and nut to remove the piston rod end from the spoiler panel.
(b)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the actuator: 1) Put a container below the actuator to catch the hydraulic
fluid. 2) Disconnect the two hydraulic lines from the actuator. 3) Install the caps on the hydraulic lines.
(c)
Remove the four bolts that attach the actuator to the structure.
(d)
Remove the actuator from the airplane.
(e)
Remove the bolt that attaches the actuator link to the input arm.

If it is necessary, remove the hydraulic unions from the actuator.
(a)
Install the caps in the ports on the actuator.

Examine the flight spoiler actuator rod end for worn areas (Ref 27-61-51/601).

If it is necessary, install the hydraulic unions on the actuator (Fig. 401):
(a)
Apply a layer of the hydraulic fluid or the skydrol assembly lube on the O-rings.
