Procedure
(1) S 865-002Supply the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(2) S 865-003Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P6-2 Panel 1) AUTO SLAT NO. 1 DC 2) AUTO SLAT NO. 2 DC 3) AIRPLANES WITH AUTOSLAT COMPUTER; AUTOSLAT NO. 1 AC AUTOSLAT NO. 2 AC
(3) S 865-004Supply the systems A and B hydraulic power (Ref 27-62-00/201).
(4) S 865-005Make sure the ANTISKID switch on the center instrument panel is in the ON position.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a)
P6 Panel
1) INDICATOR LIGHTS
2) FLIGHT CONTROL VALVES
3) SPOILER SHUTOFF VALVES
4) AUTO SPEED BRAKE
5) ALL ANTISKID

Move the No. 1 and 2 thrust levers to the idle position.

Do a test of the speed brake lever actuator:
NOTE: During this test you use the antiskid control unit to give
____ wheel speed signals to the automatic speed brake system. The antiskid control unit is installed in the electronics compartment.
The weight of the airplane must be on the landing gear or the right main landing gear must be compressed a minimum of 5 inches during the test.
(a)
Make sure the parking brake is released.
(b)
Make sure the speed brake lever is in the DOWN position.
(c)
AIRPLANES WITH SPEED BRAKE TEST SWITCHES; Do a test of the SPEED BRAKE TEST switches: 1) Push the SPEED BRAKE TEST switch 3 to retract the speed
brake lever actuator.
2) Move the speed brake lever from the DOWN to the ARMED detent.
3) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light on the center panel is ON.
4) Push the SPEED BRAKE TEST switch 1 to actuate the speed brake indicator test. a) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light is not on.

b) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM light is on.
5) Operate the speed brake indicator test again with the SPEED BRAKE TEST switches 2 and 3.
6) Move the LIGHTS switch on the P2-1 panel to the DIM position. a) Make sure the intensity of the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light
decreases.
7) Move the LIGHTS switch on the P2-1 panel to the BRT position. a) Make sure the intensity of the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light
goes back to the initial level.
