Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task to remove and a task to install the speed brake arming switch. The arming switch (S276) is operated by a cam on the forward drum quadrant for the speed brake lever in the lower nose compartment.

Move the speed brake lever a position in the middle of its travel.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6 Panel
1) LANDING GEAR LIGHTS

Open the forward access door.

Remove the speed brake arming switch (Fig. 401):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical leads from the arming switch.
(b)
Remove the screws from the arming switch.
(c)
Remove the arming switch from the airplane.
