Make sure the cable end is between the inspection holes in the lower rod end adapter.

If the cable end is not between the inspection holes, adjust the lower telescoping assembly: 1) Remove the lower telescoping assembly from the cable and


 the bracket. 2) Install the washers between the adapter and the bracket. 3) Install the lower telescoping assembly and the cable on the
 bracket. 4) Make sure the cable end is between the inspection holes in the lower rod end adapter. 5) Hold the guide tube and torque the lower rod end adapter to 25-40 inch pounds.

Make sure you can see the swivel tube through the inspection hole in the guide tube.

If the swivel tube is not visible through the inspection hole in the guide tube, adjust the upper rod end: 1) Adjust the upper rod end. 2) Remove the lower rod end from the landing gear torsion


 link. 3) Manually retract and extend the cable to verify that the cable and valve lever move freely and do not bind. 4) Make sure you can see the threads of the upper rod end adapter through the inspection hole in the upper rod end.
 NOTE: The threads of the upper rod end adapter must cover

Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
