 F. Do the Functional Test
 S 725-007
 (1)  Do a test of the operation of the flight spoilers with the speed brake lever in the DOWN position:
 NOTE: Measure the positions of the captain's aileron control wheel
____ from the neutral position during this test.
 (a)  Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
 CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE THE AILERONS WITH THE RIG PIN A/S-4 INSTALLED.
_______ YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AILERON BUS DRUM.
 (b)  Operate the aileron trim system to put the ailerons in the neutral position.
 NOTE: The aileron is in the neutral position when you can
____ easily install the rig pin A/S-4 in the aileron bus drum.
 (c)  
Remove the rig pin.

 (d)  
Turn the control wheel clockwise until the spoiler No. 7 starts to move up. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move up when the control

 wheel is 11 |1 degrees clockwise.

 (e)  
Continue to turn the control wheel to 87 degrees clockwise: 1) Make sure that the spoiler No. 7 is up 38 |2 degrees. 2) Make sure that the spoilers No. 2 and No. 3 are in the

 fully down position.

 (f)  
Turn the control wheel counterclockwise until the spoiler No. 7 starts to move down. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move down when the control

 wheel is a minimum of 70 degrees clockwise.

 (g)  
Continue to turn the control wheel counterclockwise until the spoiler No. 7 is in the fully down position. 1) Make sure the spoiler is in the fully down position when

 the control wheel is 5 |3 degrees clockwise.

 (h)  
Turn the control wheel counterclockwise until the spoiler No. 2 starts to move up. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move up when the control

 wheel is 11 |1 degrees counterclockwise.

 (i)  
Continue to turn the control wheel to 87 degrees counterclockwise: 1) Make sure that the spoiler No. 2 is up 38 |2 degrees. 2) Make sure that the spoilers No. 6 and No. 7 are in the


 fully down position.

 (j)  
Turn the control wheel clockwise until the spoiler No. 2 starts to move down. 1) Make sure the spoiler starts to move down when the control

 wheel is a minimum of 70 degrees counterclockwise.

 (k)  
Continue to turn the control wheel clockwise until the spoiler No. 2 is in the fully down position. 1) Make sure the spoiler is in the fully down position when


 the control wheel is 5 |3 degrees counterclockwise.

 (2)  
Do a test of the operation of the spoilers with the speed brake control system:

 (a)  
Move the ailerons to the neutral position.

 (b)  
Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.

 (c)  
Make sure that all of the ground and flight spoilers are in the fully down position.

 (d)  
Move the speed brake control lever to the ARMED detent. 1) Make sure that all ground spoilers stay in the down position.

 2)  Make sure the flight spoilers do not extend more than 1-1/2 degrees.

 (e)  
Move the speed brake lever aft until the ground spoilers move to the up position. 1) Make sure the speed brake lever is 29 |2 degrees (2.78 |0.2

 inches measured along the indicator surface) aft of the DOWN position.

 (f)  
Use the control surface protractor to measure the position of the spoilers No. 4 and 5. 1) Make sure the spoilers are up 60 |2 degrees from the down

 position. 2) Make sure the ground spoiler No. 4 aligns with the ground spoiler No. 5 in the limit of 2 degrees.

 (g)  
Use the control surface protractor to measure the position of the ground spoilers No. 0, 1, 8 and 9. 1) Make sure the spoilers are up 60 |2 degrees from the down

 position. 2) Make sure the ground spoilers No. 0 and 1 align with the ground spoilers No. 8 and 9 in the limit of 2 degrees.

 (h)  
Move the speed brake lever forward until the ground spoilers retract. 1) Make sure the speed brake lever is 21 |4 degrees (2.00 |0.4
