Adjust the right aileron control cables (AA and AB):
(a)
Open the forward access door.
(b)
If you installed new aileron control cables AA and AB, adjust the tension (Fig. 501): 1) Use the turnbuckles to tighten the cables to two times the
tension shown in table 1 on Fig. 501. 2) Move the aileron control system through 20 full cycles.
(c)
Install the rig pins A/S-1 and A/S-1A in the transfer mechanism for the first officer's control column (Fig. 502).
NOTE: Make sure the rig pin A/S-1 is fully installed in the
____ transfer mechanism and will not fall out.
1) Make sure you can easily install the rig pin A/S-1 through the bearing housing and the lost motion device in the transfer mechanism.
(d)
Make sure that you can easily install the rig pin A/S-3 in the lower lever at the spoiler control quadrant (Fig. 503).
(e)
Make sure the tension in the aileron control cables AA and AB is in the limits shown in Fig. 501.
