 i)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-1
 (FIG. 505);
 Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary
 brake will sustain a torque of 1950-2150 pound-inches
 in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions
 without slipping.
 j)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-3
 (FIG. 505);
 Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary
 brake will sustain a torque of 2500-2700 pound-inches
 in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions
 without slipping.
 k)  Rotation of the stator assembly nut should be less than
 1 1/2 turns from the mark on the stator housing. If
 more than 1 1/2 turns of the stator assembly nut is
 needed to obtain the required torque, disassemble the
 stator assembly.
 l)  Wipe excess oil from the stators and rotors and then
 re-assemble the stator assembly.
 m)  Loosen or tighten the stator assembly nut until brake
 slippage occurs at 400 pound-inches or less.
 n)  Tighten the stator assembly nut until brake slippage
 does not begin to occur until between 550 - 650
 pound-inches.
 o)  Use a pen to mark the relative position of the stator
 assembly nut to the stator housing.
 p)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-1;
 Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary
 brake will sustain a torque of 1950-2150 pound-inches
 in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions
 without slipping.
 q)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-3;
 Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary
 brake will sustain a torque of 2500-2700 pound-inches
 in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions
 without slipping.
 r)  If torque at 1/2 turn of stator assembly nut is greater
 than 2700 pound-inches, disassemble the stator assembly
 and apply BMS 3-32 Type II oil to the rotors and
 stators.
 s)  Re-assemble the stator assembly.

 t)  Loosen or tighten the stator assembly nut until brake slippage occurs at 400 pound-inches or less.
 u)  Tighten the stator assembly nut until brake slippage does not begin to occur until between 550 - 650 pound-inches.
 v)  Use a pen to mark the relative position of the stator assembly nut to the stator housing.
 w)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-1; Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary brake will sustain a torque of 1950-2150 pound-inches in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions without slipping.
 x)  AIRPLANES WITH STATOR ASSEMBLY P/N 65C34616-3; Tighten the stator assembly nut until the auxiliary brake will sustain a torque of 2500-2700 pound-inches in the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions without slipping.
 y)  Rotation of the stator assembly nut should be less than 1 1/2 turns from the mark on the stator housing. If more than 1 1/2 turns of the stator assembly nut is needed to obtain the required torque, the auxiliary brake is defective and the ballscrew actuator must be replaced (AMM 27-41-81/401).
 z)  If the required torque is reached in less than 1 1/2 turns, the auxiliary brake is adjusted correctly.
 aa) Lockwire the stator assembly nut to the stator assembly washer.
 ab) Put the auxiliary brake cover on the stator housing and replace the bolts, nuts and washers.
 ac) Lubricate all internal surfaces of the umbrella, cap, and the exposed surface of the sleeve using BMS 3-33 grease.
 ad) Slide the umbrella, the packing, and the cap down onto the sleeve.
 ae) Install the screws into the cap and secure them using lockwire.
 af) Move the lower stop into place on the sleeve, tighten the lower stop screws, and secure the screws using lockwire.
