D. Do the Test of the Flap Load Limiter System

(1) If the airplane is on jacks, compress the right main gear strut approximately 5 inches to the ground position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAPS. THE FLAPS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent to extend the flaps.

Push and hold the flap load limiter SYSTEM TEST switch on the equipment bay light panel in the electronics compartment.
(a)
Make sure the flaps do not retract.

(4)
With the load limiter test switch in the TEST position, operate the FUNCT TEST function of the left air data computer (ADC):
(a)
Turn the switch on the air data computer to the FUNCTION position.
(b)
Push the PUSH TO TEST switch.

Make sure the flaps retract to the 30-unit position and the system test light does not come on.
(a)
On airplanes with a flap load relief light,
make sure the light comes on.

Release the flap load limiter test switch.
(a)
Make sure the flaps extend to the 40-unit position.

(b) On airplanes with the flap load relief light, make sure the light goes off.

Put the left ADC back to its usual condition.

Make sure the flaps retract to the 30-unit position.

Push the GRD SENSING test switch on the E11 landing gear logic shelf to simulate the air mode.

INBOARD TRAILING EDGE FLAP - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the inboard trailing edge flap. Each trailing edge flap has a foreflap, a midflap, and an aftflap.

The removal procedure has these parts:
(a)
The removal of the outboard flap track fairing
(b)
The removal of the inboard flap track fairing
