 NOTE: The rig pin is part of the rig pin kit F70207-69, -78 or -83.

Procedure


 S 864-002
 (1)  
Do this task: "Remove the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B" (Ref 27-31-00/201).

 (2)  
Remove the access panel 3801 or 3802.

 (3)  
Open the access door 3701.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR

Disconnect the electrical connectors D700 from the stabilizer trim actuator and D381 from the autopilot stabilizer trim servo.

Install the stabilizer trim lock on the stabilizer trim wheel at the control stand (Fig. 402).

 (a)  
Turn the trim wheel to put the handle at the top of the wheel.

 (b)  
Adjust the height of the trim lock to put the trim wheel handle correctly in the bottom of the yoke.

 (c)  
Install the pin through the yoke.

 (d)  
Install the safety pin.

Install the rig pin E-5 in the aft control quadrant (Fig. 403).

Remove the neutral shift mechanism:

 (a)  
Remove the bolt and the locknuts to disconnect the neutral shift crank from the mach trim actuator (Fig. 404).

 (b)  
Disconnect the aft ends of the input rods from the neutral shift crank.
