Operate the system through a full cycle.


 NOTE: If the torque wrench adapter is used, remove the
____ adapter and install the tie rod and nuts between the control stand trim wheel before you do the system test.
 1) Make sure that the system operates smoothly.

 (4)  Do the test of the limit switches:
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE PSTA HAS A MINIMUM OF 13 MINUTES OFF FOR
_______ EVERY 2 MINUTES OPERATION. IF YOU DO NOT GIVE THE ACTUATOR SUFFICIENT TIME OFF IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRIC ACTUATOR.
 (a)  
Move the stabilizer to the maximum leading edge down (APL NOSE UP) position.

 (b)  
Set the captain's STAB TRIM switch to NOSE UP. 1) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move down.

 (c)  
Move the stabilizer away from the maximum APL NOSE UP position.

 (d)  
Use the captain's STAB TRIM switch to move the stabilizer to the APL NOSE UP direction until the limit switches operate. 1) Make sure the B dimension is 27.88 +0.10/-0.26 inches.

 (e)  
Make sure the flaps are in the full up position. 1) Move the stabilizer to the maximum leading edge up (APL NOSE DN) position. 2) Set the captain's STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN.


 a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move up. 3) Move the stabilizer away from the APL NOSE DN position. 4) Use the captain's STAB TRIM switch to move the stabilizer
 to the APL NOSE DN direction until the limit switches
 operate.
 a) Make sure the B dimension is 42.28 |0.14 inches.

 (f)  Set the flaps to the 5-unit position. 1) Move the stabilizer to the maximum leading edge up (APL NOSE DN) position. 2) Set the captain's STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN.
 a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move up. 3) Move the stabilizer away from the APL NOSE DN position. 4) Use the captain's STAB TRIM switch to move the stabilizer
 to the APL NOSE DN direction until the limit switches
 operate.
 a) Make sure the B dimension is 45.49 +0.41/-0.10 inches.

 5)  If the ball nut touches the stop, turn the stabilizer trim wheel clockwise 2.00 +/- 0.25 turns to loosen the stop (the ball nut will not touch the stop).
 6)  Set the captain's STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN. a) Make sure that the stabilizer does not move.
 7)  Use the captain's STAB TRIM switch to move the stabilizer and at the same time put the stabilizer trim cutout switch to CUTOUT.
 8)  The stabilizer stops immediately and will not operate with the captain's or the first officer's STAB TRIM switch. 9) Put the stabilizer trim cutout switch to NORMAL and the stabilizer moves again.

Do the test of the electrical trim system:

 (a)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 1)  P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) STABILIZER TRIM CONT
 b) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR


 (c)  
Set the flaps to the 5-unit position.
