3. Manual Isolation Valve Installation (Fig. 401)___________________________________
NOTE: Do not change a Ronson with a Whittaker or the Whittaker with a Ronson
____ valve handle. If you change the valve handle on a valve, the position of the valve handle will not agree with the position of the valve. This can cause a loss of the hydraulic power.

Do this task: "Remove the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B" (Ref 27-31-00/201).

Lubricate the packings and the valve lightly with assembly lube or hydraulic fluid.
(3)
Install the packings and the backup rings on the valve.

(4)
Install the valve on the module:
(a)
Remove the plugs from the module.
(b)
Attach the valve with four mounting bolts.
(c)
Install the lockwires on the bolts.

(5) Do this task: "Put the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the Pressure Removal" (Ref 27-31-00/201).

(6) S 874-008Move the control column or the rudder pedals to bleed the hydraulic lines.
(7) S 794-009Visually examine the valve for hydraulic leaks.
(8) S 714-010Do this task: "Isolation Valves Hydraulic Module" (Ref 27-31-84/501).
(9) S 864-011Make sure all the valve handles are in the OPEN position.

Turn the locking bar down.
(a)
Install the lower mounting bolts and the washers.

Close the access door 3701 (Ref 12-31-41/201).

A. This procedure has two tasks, one for the removal and one for the installation of the elevator neutral shift mechanism (which is referred to as the neutral shift mechanism). The procedure has these parts:
