 2)  Hold a STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN until the system comes to the full trim speed. a) Release the switch and monitor the free movement of the
 stabilizer trim wheel.
 b)  If the free movement is more than 0.5 turn (180 degrees), you must replace the main electric trim actuator (AMM 27-41-71/401).
 c)  If the reverse travel (nose up direction) is more than 60 degrees, you must replace the main electric trim actuator (AMM 27-41-71/401).
 (b)  Set the flaps to the 5-unit position.
 1)  Hold a STAB TRIM switch to NOSE UP until the system comes to the full trim speed. a) Release the switch and monitor the free movement of the
 stabilizer trim wheel. b) If the free movement is more than 2.5 turns, you must replace the PSTA (AMM 27-41-71/401).
 c)  If the reverse travel (nose down direction) is more than 20 degrees, you must replace the PSTA (AMM 27-41-71/401).
 2)  Hold a STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN until the system comes to the full trim speed. a) Release the switch and monitor the free movement of the
 stabilizer trim wheel. b) If the free movement is more than 2.5 turns, you must replace the PSTA (AMM 27-41-71/401).
 c)  If the reverse travel (nose up direction) is more than 60 degrees, you must replace the PSTA (AMM 27-41-71/401).

 (9)  Do the test of the column cutout switch (preferred procedure).
 NOTE: This test is a part of a general system test of the

 stabilizer trim system.

 (a)  
Install the protractor on the captain's control column.

 (b)  
Move the control column to the neutral position, which is 6.9 +/-0.8 degrees forward of the vertical position.

 (c)  
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the column cutout switch.

 (d)  
Install the test box C27007-21, -26, or -31.
 1) Connect the test box to the switch assembly.

 2)  Connect the 28V DC power to 28V DC input jacks on the test box.
 NOTE: If you use the airplane power, connect the test box
____ to the accessory outlet receptacle D154 on the P6 panel. If the airplane power is not available, connect the test box to an external power supply.
 (e) Do the test of the column cutout switch:
 1)  Set the cutout switches on the test box to the positions shown as configuration A (Fig. 503)
 NOTE: The lights will come on when the switches are ON and
____ they will go off when the switches are OFF.
 2)  Make sure the lights on the test box agree with Fig. 503.
 3)  Move the control column more than 6 degrees aft of the neutral position. a) Make sure the lights on the test box agree with

 5)  Move the control column more than 4 degrees forward of the neutral position. a) Make sure the lights on the test box agree with
