 (7)  Do a test of the limit switch S145:
 NOTE: You can use the flap alternate drive system or hydraulic
____ power to move the flaps. Use the applicable steps for the power source that you use.
 (a)  If it is applicable, put the ALTERNATE FLAP arm switch in the ARM position.
 NOTE: The standby hydraulic pump motor will operate when the
____ ALTERNATE FLAP arm switch is in the ARM position.
 (b)  If it is applicable, supply the system B hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAPS. THE FLAPS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 CAUTION: DURING GROUND OPERATION, DO NOT OPERATE THE FLAP ALTERNATE
_______ DRIVE UNIT FOR MORE THAN 4 MINUTES OF OPERATION AND 25 MINUTES OFF, BECAUSE YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP ALTERNATE DRIVE UNIT.
 (c)  Move the flap control lever or the alternate flap drive control switch to extend the flaps to the 1-unit position, or greater.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ELECTRIC ACTUATOR HAS A MINIMUM OF 13
_______ MINUTES OFF FOR EVERY 2 MINUTES OPERATION. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF THE MOTOR BECOMES TOO HOT.
 (d)  Verify that the Column Actuated Stabilizer Trim Override Switch, S847, is set to the NORM or guarded position.

 (e)  
Verify that the Main Cutout Switch, S272, is in the NORMAL position.

 (f)  
Use the captain's stabilizer trim switches to move the stabilizer to the APL NOSE DN direction until the limit switch operates.

 (g)  
Move the stabilizer to the upper mechanical stops.


 NOTE: Turn the captain's stabilizer trim wheel
____ counterclockwise to move the stabilizer to the mechanical stops.
 (h)  
Turn the captain's stabilizer trim wheel 2.00 +/- 0.25 turns clockwise.

 (i)  
Move the captain's stabilizer trim switches to the NOSE DN position and hold them there.

 (j)  
Verify that the stabilizer does not move.

 (k)  
Move the captain's stabilizer trim switches to the NOSE UP position and hold them in that position.

 (l)  
Verify that the stabilizer leading edge moves down.

 (m)  
Move the stabilizer to approximately 1 unit of trim, or more.

 (n)  
Set the captain's stabilizer trim switches to NOSE DN.

 (o)  
Use the captain's stabilizer trim switches to move the stabilizer to the APL NOSE DN direction until the limit switch operates. 1) Make sure the B dimension is 45.49 +0.41/-0.10 inches.

 (p)  
Move the flap control lever or the alternate flap drive control switch to retract the flaps.

If the hydraulic power is not necessary, remove hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

If the electrical power is not necessary, remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
