 3)  Move the control column more than 4 degrees forward of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows no continuity.
 (g)  Connect the ohmmeter between pins 19 and 23 in the column switching module receptacle D2257. 1) Move the control column to the neutral position.
 a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows continuity.
 2)  Move the control column more than 6 degrees aft of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows no continuity.
 3)  Move the control column more than 4 degrees forward of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows no continuity.
 (h)  Connect the ohmmeter between pins 13 and 15 in the column switching module receptacle D2257. 1) Move the control column to the neutral position.
 a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows continuity.
 2)  Move the control column more than 6 degrees aft of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows continuity.
 3)  Move the control column more than 4 degrees forward of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows no continuity.
 (i)  Connect the ohmmeter between pins 3 and 12 in the column switching module receptacle D2257. 1) Move the control column to the neutral position.
 a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows continuity.
 2)  Move the control column more than 6 degrees aft of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows no continuity.
 3)  Move the control column more than 4 degrees forward of the neutral position. a) Make sure the ohmmeter shows continuity.
 (j)  
Disconnect the ohmmeter and connect the electrical connectors.

 (k)  
Remove the protractor.

 Do the test of the stabilizer trim cutout:

 (a)  
Pressurize the elevator hydraulic systems A and B
 (AMM 27-31-00/201).


 (b)  
Make sure you close these circuit breakers:

 1)  P6-2 Circuit Breakers Panel
 a) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR
 b) STABILIZER TRIM CONT


 (c)  
Set the stabilizer trim cutout switch to NORMAL.

 (d)  
Use the captain's stabilizer trim switch to move the stabilizer in the APL NOSE UP direction.

 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RIG PIN E-4 FROM THE COLUMN
 ACTUATED CUTOUT SWITCH BEFORE YOU MOVE THE CONTROL
 COLUMN.  TO MOVE THE CONTROL COLUMN WITH THE RIG PIN

 E-4 INSTALLED CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 1)  While the stabilizer moves, push the control column forward until the column cutout switch stops the stabilizer.
 2)  Immediately release the control column to the neutral position.
 3)  With the control column in the neutral position, make sure the stabilizer continues to move to the APL NOSE UP direction.
Use the captain's stabilizer trim switch to move the stabilizer
 in the APL NOSE DN direction.
 1)  While the stabilizer moves, pull the control column aft until the column cutout switch stops the stabilizer.
 2)  Immediately release the control column to the neutral position.
 3)  With the control column in the neutral position, make sure the stabilizer continues to move to the APL NOSE DN direction.
Use the captain's stabilizer trim switch to move the stabilizer
 in the APL NOSE UP direction.
 1)  While the stabilizer moves, push the control column slowly forward until the column cutout switch stops the stabilizer.
 2)  Hold the control column in this position and immediately release the captain's stabilizer trim switch.
 3)  Make sure the control column is between 2.40 and 3.20 degrees forward from the neutral position.
 4)  Continue to hold the control column and move the captain's STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN.
 5)  Make sure the stabilizer moves freely in the APL NOSE DN
 direction.
