 (1)  
Set the HYD PUMP B ELEC 1 switch (P5 overhead panel) to ON
 (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted.

Do a check of the flap position inputs to the SMC:

 (a)  
Push the down button on the SMC maintenance control panel on the front of each SMC.

 (b)  
Make sure that the display on each SMC shows FLAP DET UP.

 (c)  
Move the flaps to the 1-unit position.


 NOTE: The leading edge flaps and slats will extend as the
____
 trailing edge flaps extend.

 (d)  
Make sure that each display shows FLAP DET 1.

 (e)  
Move the flaps to the 2-unit position.

 (f)  
Make sure that each display shows FLAP DET 2.

 (g)  
Move the flaps to the 5-unit position.

 (h)  
Make sure that each display shows FLAP DET 5.

 (i)  
Move the flaps to the 10-unit position.

 (j)  
Make sure that each display shows FLAP DET 10.

 (k)  
Move the flaps to the 15-unit position.

 (l)  
Make sure that each display shows FLAP DET 15.

Engine Tachometer Inputs Test with Stall Warning System Tester


 NOTE: If you use the stall warning system tester to do the Engine
____ Tachometer Inputs Test, do not do the section below, Engine Tachometer Inputs Test with DC Power Supplies.
 NOTE: The ac signal voltage for the N1 and N2 values is a constant
____ 2.5 |1.0V RMS. You will change the frequency of the ac voltage to

 change the N1 and N2 values.

Open the left and right fan cowl panels on engines 1 and 2 (Ref 71-11-02/201).

Disconnect the electrical connectors D546 from the N1 sensor and D552 from the N2 sensor on each engine.

Connect the stall warning system tester.


 NOTE: Follow the instructions on the lid of the tester box to

Do a check of the engine N1 tachometer input to the SMC:

 (a)  
Push the down button on each SMC to show the N1 display.

 (b)  
Set the engine No. 1 N1 indicator to 0% (0 Hz) and the engine No. 2 N1 indicator to 0% (0 Hz).

Set the engine No. 1 N1 indicator to 80% (2070 |1 Hz) and the engine No. 2 N1 indicator to 80% (2070 |1 Hz).

 (e)  
Make sure that the N1 value on each SMC display is 80 |5%.
