 10) Hold the STAB TRIM switch to NOSE DN until the system comes to the full trim speed. a) Release the switch and make sure the stabilizer trim
 wheel continues to move not more than one half turn.
 (c)  Do this task: Autopilot Stabilizer Trim Servo Test
 (AMM 22-11-81/501).

 NOTE: This test should be performed after you install an
____ autopilot stabilizer trim servo or a primary stabilizer trim actuator (PSTA). The PSTA replaces the function of the autopilot stabilizer trim servo.

 STABILIZER BALL NUT AND JACKSCREW GEARBOX - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks, one for the removal and one for the installation of the stabilizer trim ball nut and jackscrew gearbox (which is referred to as the ball nut and the jackscrew gearbox). The procedure has these parts:
 (1)  
The removal of the ball nut and the jackscrew gearbox

 (2)  
The installation of the ball nut and the jackscrew gearbox.

F80055-1 - Actuator Trammel Bar

F80014-16 and F80014-2 - Stabilizer Jackscrew Handling Equipment

 (3)  
F80027-13 - Horizontal Stabilizer Lock Assembly

 (4)  
F71252 or F71267 - Adapter or Pinion Gear Wrench Assembly

 B.  
Standard Tools and Equipment

 (1)  
Hoist capable of handling 150 pounds

 (2)  
Spool or reel with a capacity for 100 feet of 1/8-inch cable

 C.  
Consumable Materials

 (1)  
Grease - BMS 3-33 (Recommended)

 (2)  
Grease - MIL-G-23827 (Alternate)

 (3)  
Primer - BMS 10-11, Type I

 (4)  
Oil - MIL-L-7870

Procedure

 (1)
Set the stabilizer leading edge to the full down position.

 (2)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR
 2) STABILIZER TRIM CONT


 (b)  
P18-0 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) STABILIZER TRIM SERVO


 (3)  
Open the access doors 3701 and 1103.
