Extend the flaps to the FLAPS 1 position, or greater, do this task: "Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps" (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Close these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-OPEN tags:

2) STAB TRIM ACTUATOR

(7) Open the Stabilizer Trim Access Door, 3701 (AMM 12-31-41/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ FLAPS AND THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS. THE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Disconnect the D700 connector from the stabilizer trim motor M1659 (Fig. 501).

(1) Move the stab trim switches on the control wheel to the NOSE UP position and hold.
NOTE: The same stab trim switches (captain's or first officer's)

should be used during this procedure.

WARNING: BE SURE NOT TO TOUCH ADJACENT PINS IN CONNECTOR D700 DURING
_______ VOLTAGE CHECKS. THE 115 VAC IN THE CONNECTOR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2)
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage on connector D700 between pin 8 and the surrounding structure.
(a)
Make sure that the voltage on pin 8 is more than 2 VAC.
