 3) If the transmission upstops do touch: a) Disconnect the two torque tubes from the flap power unit. b) Turn the output shaft of the flap power unit until the
 marks align in the limit. c) Install the torque tubes on the flap power unit. d) Install the screws to attach the torque tubes. e) Install the lockwire on the bolts.
 4)  Move the flap bypass valve to the NORMAL (position 1) position.
 (c)  
Remove the lower pan from the flap control unit (Fig. 503).

 (d)  
Make sure you can easily install the rig pin F-1 in the flap control unit.

 (e)  
Make sure the tension in the flap follow-up cables WFFA and WFFB cables are in the limits shown in Fig. 501.

 (f)  
If you cannot easily install the rig pin or if the tension is not in the limits, adjust the flap follow-up cables WFFA and WFFB: 1) Remove the lock clips from the turnbuckles for the cables


 WFFA and WFFB. 2) Adjust the turnbuckles until you can easily install the rig
 pin F-1 in the flap power unit. 3) Adjust the turnbuckles until the tension is in the limits. 4) Install the lock clips on the turnbuckles.
 (g)  
At the flap power unit, make sure that the WFFA cable has approximately 2-1/4 turns on the cable drum.

 (h)  
At the flap power unit, make sure that the WFFB cable has approximately 1/3 turn on the cable drum.

 (i)  
At the flap control unit, make sure that the WFFA cable has approximately 1-1/2 turns on the cable drum.

 (j)  
At the flap control unit, make sure that the WFFB cable has approximately 2-1/2 turns on the cable drum.

 H.  
Adjust the Flap Control Valves


 S 825-016
 (1)  
Do a check of the adjustment of the control valve for the trailing edge flap (Fig. 503):

 (a)  
Make sure the flap control lever is in the UP detent.

 (b)  
Install the rig pin F-1 in the flap control unit.

 (c)  
Make sure the valve slide and the index surface of the control valve align in the limit of |0.010 inch.

 (d)  
If the surfaces do not align in the limit, adjust the trailing edge cam link: 1) Remove the lockwire from the cam link. 2) Loosen the two checknuts on the cam link. 3) Adjust the sleeve until the valve slide and the index
