C. Procedure

(1) Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, TRAILING EDGE FLAPS, LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS, SPOILERS LANDING GEAR AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Supply the system B hydraulic power (AMM 27-51-00/201).

(3)
Move the flap control lever to the UP detent to retract the flaps.
(a)
Stop for 2 minutes to permit the flaps to fully retract.

Remove the system B hydraulic power (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Move the asymmetry test switch to the L position.
(a)
Make sure the asymmetry test light is on.
(b)
Make sure the left pointer on the flap position indicator moves 22 |5 degrees (a chordal dimension of 0.17 to 0.28 inch between the two pointers).
(c)
Make sure the flap bypass valve moves to the position 2.

Release the asymmetry test switch.
(a)
Make sure the asymmetry test light is off.
(b)
Make sure the flap bypass valve moves to the position 1.
(c)
Make sure the two pointers align.

Move the asymmetry test switch to the R position.
(a)
Make sure the asymmetry test light is on.
(b)
Make sure the right pointer on the flap position indicator moves 22 |5 degrees (a chordal dimension of 0.17 to 0.28 inch between the two pointers).
(c)
Make sure the flap bypass valve moves to the position 2.

Release the asymmetry test switch.
(a)
Make sure the asymmetry test light is off.
(b)
Make sure the flap bypass valve moves to the position 1.
(c)
Make sure the two pointers align.

A vacuum source and barometer to measure a differential pressure of up to 1.5 inches of mercury to an accuracy of |0.015 inch of mercury.
