Remove the mounting brackets of the autopilot elevator actuators.

Install the rig pin E-5 in the aft control quadrant.

Remove the torque tube:
(a)
Disconnect the forward ends of the control pushrods from the torque tube crank.
(b)
Disconnect the PCU upper mounting bolts from the torque tube.
(c)
Let the elevator power control units turn away from the aft bulkhead until the input crank is in the bottom.
(d)
Remove the two pivot bolts that attach the torque tube to the inboard pivot brackets.
(e)
Hold the torque tube and remove the two pivot bolts that attach the torque tube to the outboard pivot brackets,
(f)
Remove the torque tube from the airplane.
