 MANUAL ISOLATION VALVES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks, one for the removal and one for the installation of the manual isolation valve (which is referred to as the "valve"). The procedure has these parts:
 (1)  
The removal of the valve

 (2)  
The installation of the replacement valve.

 B.  
There are six valves in the isolation valve hydraulic module. The valve No. 2 supplies the hydraulic system A power to the rudder, and the valve No. 5 supplies the hydraulic system B power to the rudder.

Do this task: "Remove Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B" (Ref 27-31-00/201).

Open the access door 3701 (Ref 12-31-41/201).

Remove the valve from the module:

 (a)  
Remove the lower mounting bolt.

 (b)  
Turn the locking bar up to get access to the valve.

 (c)  
Remove the lockwire and the four mounting bolts.

 (d)  
Remove the valve from the module.

 (e)  
Install a plug in the valve chamber in the module.
