 (1)  Push the APU GEN No. 1 switch to ON.
 (a)  Make sure that these lights go off:
 1) APU GEN OFF BUS
 2) BUS OFF No. 1
 3) TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 1 and No. 2

 (2)  Push the APU GEN No. 2 switch to ON.
 (a) Make sure that the BUS OFF No. 2 light goes off.

 (b)  Make sure that the DRIVE or LOW OIL PRESSURE No. 1 and 2 lights on the P5-5 panel are on.
 H. Put Loads on the AC Buses.
 S 865-019
 (1)  
Energize all of the lights (except emergency), galleys, air
 conditioning and fuel boost pumps.

 (2)  
Push the HYD PUMPS - ELEC 1 and 2 switches on the P5-8 hydraulic pumps module to ON.

 (3)  
Push the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the P5-3 flight controls module to ON.

 (4)  
Make sure that there is not too much load on the ac buses.

 (a)  
Look at the APU generator ammeter on the P5-4 panel.

 (b)  
Turn the left switch S2 on the power system test module M400 to A, then B, then C.

 (c)  
If the APU generator ammeter shows more than 160 amperes for a phase, remove some of the loads.

 (5)  Look at the quality of the power from the APU generator with loads.
 (a)  
Turn the ac meters switch to APU GEN.

 (b)  
Make sure that the ac voltmeter shows between 110 and 125 volts.

 (c)  
Make sure the CPS FREQ meter shows:


 GTCP85-129 APU; LOADED 397-417 Hz.
 GTCP36-280 APU; LOADED 395-405 Hz.
 APS2000 APU; LOADED 395-405 Hz.

 I. Do a Test of the Control Circuits for the APU Generator.

 (1)  Push the APU GEN No. 2 switch to OFF.
 (a)  Make sure that the BUS OFF No. 2 light comes on.

 (2)  Push the BUS TRANS switch to OFF.
 (a)  Make sure that the TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 2 light comes on.

 (3)  Push the APU GEN No. 2 switch to ON.
 (a)  Make sure that the BUS OFF No. 2 and TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 2 lights go off.

 (4)  Push the APU GEN No. 1 switch to OFF.
 (a)  Make sure that the BUS OFF No. 1 and TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 1 lights come on.

 (5)  Push the BUS TRANS switch to AUTO.
 (a) Make sure that the TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 1 light goes off.
 J. Do a Test of the Interface to the Ground Sense Relays.

 (1)  Look at the load on the APU generator.
 (a)  
Look at the APU generator ammeter.

 (b)  
Turn the left switch S2 on the M400 to A, then B, then C.

 (c)  
Make sure that there is an indication of load on the APU generator ammeter for all 3 switch positions.

 (d)  
Turn the left switch S2 to position B.

 (2)  Open the forward access door near the nose landing gear.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE SLATS BEFORE YOU PUT THE AIRPLANE IN THE AIR MODE. THE LEADING EDGE SLATS CAN EXTEND AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU PUT THE AIRPLANE IN THE AIR MODE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  
Push and hold the GROUND SENSING test switch on the front of the E-11 landing gear logic shelf.

 (4)  
Look at the APU generator ammeter and push the APU GEN No. 1 switch to ON.
