(7) S 422-035Install the filter case to the filter housing. (a) Tighten from 300 to 360 pound-inches.
(8) S 432-036Install lockwire to the filter case.
(9) S 822-037If the pop-out button is extended, push it in to set it again.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH OIL INTO THE GENERATOR DRIVE. TOO MUCH OIL CAN MAKE THE GENERATOR DRIVE BECOME TOO HOT AND CAUSE DAMAGE.
(10) Examine the oil level in the generator drive case (AMM 12-13-21/301).
(a) Fill the case with oil if it is necessary.

(11) Do the dry motor procedure for the applicable engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

CAUTION: IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ALL OF THE OIL THAT FALLS ON THE ENGINE
_______ PARTS. OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PAINT AND SOME RUBBER PARTS.

Make sure that there is no oil leakage from the line oil filter.

GENERATOR DRIVE INTEGRAL OIL FILTER - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This is a procedure to remove the filter element in the integral oil filter (or charge filter) and to install a new one. This procedure is necessary during these conditions:
(1)
During scheduled maintenance times
(2)
If a large quantity of metal particles are on the magnetic plug on the CSD.
(3)
If the pop-out button is extended
(4)
If the generator drive became too hot.
B.
The integral oil filter is internal to the constant speed drive. The filter keeps contamination out of the CSD and the oil system of the generator drive. The oil flows from the outer surface of the filter element to the inner surface (contamination stays on the outer surface).
C.
The filter element for the integral oil filter is not interchangeable with the filter element for the line oil filter.
D.
The integral oil filter has a differencial-pressure pop-out button. This button will extend when a large quantity of particles stop the flow of oil through the integral oil filter. A large quantity of metal particles on the magnetic plug and the filter element is an indication of a mechanical failure of the generator drive.
