You can remove and install the CSD and the AC generator as a completed assembly or as divided units. If you do not have the adapter tool, it will be easier to remove and install one unit at a time. The CSD is attached to the accessory gearbox of the engine by a quick-attach-detach (QAD) ring.
C.
When you replace the CSD, also replace the line oil filter element
ú (AMM 24-11-31/201). Examine the CSD oil, both the integral and line oil filter elements, and the magnetic plug. Flush the oil cooler if any of the items that were examined show signs of sludge. Replace the oil cooler and the tubing if bright metallic particles or flakes are on the magnetic plug. When you replace the CSD because of internal failure, replace the oil cooler and the tubing for the oil cooler. Make sure that the CSD has no worn areas (AMM 24-11-11/601).

NOTE: Boeing F70333-24 consists of a commercially available
____ jack plus the F70333-25 Adapter Assembly. The F70333-24 holds the CSD and generator during removal and installation.
