(1) Remove the MPCB:
(a)
Remove the electrical wires from the terminal studs. 1) Tag each wire with the correct identification to help with installation. 2) Make a note of the position of the wire terminals, plain washers, lockwashers, and nuts on each terminal stud.
3) Where more than one wire attaches to a stud, attach the parts together, and tag for each stud.
(b)
Remove the four MPCB installation screws and washers.
(c)
Remove the MPCB.

(1) Examine the wires for damage caused by heat or corrosion.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE METAL OXIDE ABRASIVES. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TERMINAL.
(a)
Remove the corrosion with sandpaper or a rubber eraser.
(b)
If the terminal or the wire is damaged, replace the terminal if the wire has sufficient length. 1) Refer to the Notes Section of the Wire Diagram Manual for
the terminal installation instructions.
(c)
If the wire is too short, replace the wire.
C. Procedure

(1) Install the MPCB:
(a)
Put the MPCB in the correct position.
(b)
Install the four installation screws and washers.

(2) Attach the wires to the MPCB:
(a)
Install the wires on the terminal studs.
1) Use the notes you made during the removal procedure to make the correct installation.
(b)
Install the nuts on the studs.
CAUTION: IMPROPERLY SEATED TERMINALS MAY LEAD THE TERMINAL TO WORK
_______ FREE AND CAUSE ELECTRICAL ARCING AND THE TERMINAL TO OVERHEAT.
(c)
Make sure the terminals are fully seated on the studs.
(d)
Tighten the nuts to the torque values in (SWPM 20-30-00).

Close the P6-3 and P6-4 panels and tighten screws.
