2) Install the O-ring on the valve (1).
3) Install the valve (1).
4) Tighten the valve 30 to 40 pound-inches (valve part number
A7714-1 or A7810). 5) Tighten the valve 45 to 60 pound-inches (valve part number A3268). 6) Install the Lockwire to the valve (1).
(f) Install the tank drain plug (2). 1) Lubricate the O-ring with Acryloid HF-866. 2) Install the new O-ring on the plug (2). 3) Install the plug (2). 4) Tighten the plug (2) to 75-100 pound-inches. 5) Install the lockwire to the plug (2).

(3) Remove the sight glass (5).
(a) Remove the screws from the indicator plate (3).
CAUTION: BE SURE THE SIGHT GLASS DOES NOT FALL INTO THE
_______ TRANSMISSION DURING THE REMOVAL. REMOVE ALL THE GLASS FROM THE TRANSMISSION IF YOU BREAK THE GLASS. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE GLASS.
(b)
Remove the indicator plate (3).
(c)
Discard the gasket (4).
(d)
Remove the sight glass (5).
NOTE: Pull the sight glass loose with a tool that has a nylon
____ point if it is necessary.
(e) Remove the gasket (6).

(4) Clean the sight glass (5) with a soft brush and solvent.

CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THE CSD AREA IS ALWAYS CLEAN. A DIRTY DRIVE SYSTEM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CSD.
(1) Install the sight glass (5).
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the two sides of the gasket (6).
(b)
Put the gasket (6) in the recess in the drive housing.
(c)
Put the sight glass (5) in the recess in the drive housing.
(d)
Put the gasket (4) on the sight glass (5).
(e)
Put the indicator plate (3) on the sight glass (5).
(f)
Install the screws into the indicator plate (3).
(g)
Tighten the screws to 4-5 pound-inches.
(h)
Tighten the screws to 7-9 pound-inches in the sequence shown on Fig. 401.

(2) Fill the CSD with oil (AMM 12-13-21/301).
D. Examine the sight glass installation for leaks.

Close the cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
