CURRENT TRANSFORMER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the current transformers
(2)
The installation of the current transformers.
B.
The removal and installation of each current transformer is almost the same; only the location and access are different.
(1)
Transformer T1 is on the left side of the engine fan case, above the CSD.
(2)
Transformer T2 is on the APU near the generator.
(3)
Transformer T4 is in panel P6-11.
(4)
Transformer T5 is in panel P6-12.
(5)
Transformers T7, T8, and T9 are on the right forward ceiling of the electronic compartment.
C.
ENGINES WITH THE VSCF GENERATOR/CONVERTERS; The current transformer T1 is on the engine, but it is not used. The electrical connector has a cap on it.

_______ INSTALL A CURRENT TRANSFORMER. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL POWER, THE HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL YOU.

Make sure all electrical power is off (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Get access to the current transformer:
(a) For T1, open the fan cowl panel (Ref 71-11-02/201).
