GENERATOR ROTATING RECTIFIER - INSPECTION/CHECK
_______________________________________________
1. General
_______
A. This procedure is for the two engine generators (on engines with a CSD) and the APU generator. It contains checks of the generator rotating rectifiers and the wires to the generator field terminals.
B. This procedure is not necessary for the VSCF generator/converter. The BITE circuits in the VSCF can find a failure of the generator rotating diodes. When you do a BITE test, the VSCF FAULT DETECTED light will come on to show a failure of the generator rotating diode.
